Kelly Topf, R.N., BSN, MS
Kelly is an oncology patient care coordinator and genetic counselor at Swedish Medical Center. She helps patients and families prepare and plan for treatment by coordinating services, managing physician appointments and referrals, helping patients find needed education and support services, and designing treatment plans. As a genetic counselor, she provides individuals and families with information on the nature, inheritance and implications of hereditary cancer syndromes by using personal and family histories to provide risk assessments and testing options.

Medical Oncologists

Lisa D. Ahrendt, M.D.
Dr. Ahrendt is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. She has particular interest in breast cancer, but sees a wide variety of oncology patients and is eager to educate them about their illness, as well as help them meet their unique treatment challenges.

Lilly Klancar, M.D.
Dr. Klancar is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. She provides consultation to patients with many types of cancers and hematologic disorders such as leukemia, myeloma and lymphoma.

Allan M. Miller, M.D.
Dr. Miller is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology, and a registered pharmacist. He brings a multidisciplinary focus to treating cancer and hematology patients.

Michael T. Parra, M.D.
Dr. Parra is board certified in internal medicine. He sees patients with all types of cancers; however, he has a special interest and expertise in treating patients with malignant melanoma and breast cancer. Dr. Parra is proud to have been featured in 5280 magazine as a "Denver Top Doc."

Edgar F. Prasthofer, M.D.
Dr. Prasthofer is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology. His clinical interests include diagnosing and treating a wide variety of cancers, including breast, lung and colon cancers. Dr. Prasthofer is actively involved with research activities and has served as the Principal Investigator for a number of national clinical trials.

David Trevarthen, M.D.
Dr. Trevarthen is board certified in internal medicine. He has a longstanding interest in the treatment and prevention of breast cancer. Also, he is interest in cancer research and involvement with several large national co-operative research groups has been instrumental in making cutting-edge clinical trials available to Swedish breast cancer patients.

Surgical Oncologists

Reginald Bell, M.D.
Dr. Bell is board certified in general surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He specializes in breast, endocrine, gastrointestinal (including laparoscopic surgery and weight-loss surgery) and tumor surgery.

James R. Deline, M.D.
Dr. Deline has practiced medicine at Swedish Medical Center for more than 17 years. He is interested in caring for patients with cancer, with specific interest in treating breast cancer patients. He is a participant at the Swedish tumor board and breast conference, and holds the position of chairman on the Swedish Hospital Cancer Committee.

Eric O. Kortz, M.D.
Dr. Kortz is a board-certified general surgeon who is committed to excellence and compassion. He is a Colorado native, born in Denver and since 1992 has been practicing general surgery on the Swedish Medical Center campus.
