What Makes the Swedish Medical Center Breast Care Program Unique?
Our program has a number of important advantages that set us apart and make a difference to you and your family.
Exceptional Patient Support for Breast Cancer Patients
Swedish Medical Center offers our oncology patients an oncology patient coordinator who works with each patient and their families to ensure that their care is coordinated, their physician appointments are managed and education and support services are made available.
Advanced Breast Cancer Diagnosis & Treatment Technology
At Swedish, we are committed to utilizing the latest technology and tools to screen, diagnose and treat breast cancer. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) testing is used to provide detailed images to help your physician locate and diagnose cancer. In addition, Swedish was the first in Colorado to acquire a 16-slice combined Positron Emission Tomography (PET)/Computerized Tomography (CT) scanning suite. The PET/CT scanning suite offers patients fast and flexible scheduling in a comfortable and open environment. This highly advanced tool offers significant advantages over other forms of imaging technology by providing more comprehensive, detailed images for analysis. It provides the greatest degree of diagnostic accuracy available today and is superior in its ability to determine if cancer has spread or to see if treatment has been effective.
Multidisciplinary Medical Teams
Additionally, we provide a full continuum of care through our multidisciplinary team of specialists and oncology experts. This team includes radiologists, pathologists, surgeons, plastic surgeons, oncologists and radiation oncologists. Working together, they combine their knowledge and experience to ensure that you receive the most targeted, advanced and comprehensive care available. Meet our Breast Care Team>>
