Radiation therapy is minimally invasive treatment for cancer. Advances in radiation therapy allow us to localize and pinpoint tumors, delivering treatment at the site of the cancer and sparing healthy tissue around it.
At the Swedish Cancer Care Center, our radiation oncology team works as a part of the multidisciplinary cancer committee to create the best, most effective treatment plans for our patients. Using careful imaging planning, an individualized treatment plan is developed for each patient.
The Swedish Cancer Care Center Radiation Oncology Program specializes in treatments for cancers of the brain, skin, head and neck, breast, lung, gynecologic/female reproductive system, GI/digestive system, liver, pancreas and prostate.
We are located in south Denver at Swedish Medical Center (get directions). Our program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer and works closely with the Colorado Cancer Research Program and participates in Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) studies.
