Radiation Oncology at Swedish Medical Center
Swedish's Radiation Oncology Department is staffed by a chief technical coordinator, four radiation therapy technicians, two RNs, one full-time dosimetrist, a full-time physicist, clerical/medical records specialists and a certified massage therapist.
Swedish's Radiation Oncology Department Medical Director: Marshall Davis, MD
Dr. Davis, a board-certified Radiation Oncologist, is a member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncologists and the American Society of Clinical Oncologists. After earning his medical degree from the University of Nebraska, Dr. Davis completed his internship at Denver Presbyterian Medical Center and his residency at University of California, San Francisco Medical Center.
His extensive experience includes serving as Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California School of Medicine and as the Department Director for Radiation Oncology at Century City Hospital and Little Company of Mary Hospital Cancer Center.
Dr. Davis leadership continues to bolster Swedish Medical Center's Radiation Oncology Department to the forefront of cancer treatment in our region, promoting the utilization of the latest stereotactic surgery techniques, including Gamma Knife and the Clinac iX Linear Accelerator, and participating in national oncology studies for the latest applications of brachytherapy for the breast and brain.
