Classes for Grandparents

Exceptional Grandparents

Times have changed. To be an exceptional grandparent it's important to be familiar with current baby-care issues. This one-time class focuses on infant through toddler-aged children. Information is presented on creating a safe and supportive environment in all aspects of grandparenting, including the new relationship with baby's parents. Class attendees will learn and perform CPR and choking for infants and children (certification will not be provided).

An optional OB Hospital Orientation Tour is offered following the class.

Dunstan Baby Language

Featured on Oprah, the Dunstan Baby Language class is offered in one two hour session. Designed to introduce parents to the unique language and sounds babies have, this innovative class actually helps you understand your baby’s language. The Dunstan system will teach you how to tune your ear to the fine baby “words.” Being able to correctly identify and address the needs of your baby will deepen the bond with your child and ease much of the pressure and stress that is felt by parents.

HUG Your Baby

Hug Your Baby is a one-time class designed to help parents understand, prevent and solve problems around a baby's eating, sleeping and crying and encourage parent-child attachment and bonding. This class offers a deeper understanding of techniques to enhance breastfeeding, provide adequate sleep for mom and baby, and increase parent's ability to calm their babies. It's a must for any parent or grandparent.
