Frequently asked questions regarding maternity and parenting classes at Swedish Medical Center, Denver, Colorado.
When should I take classes?
You may begin classes at any time in your pregnancy; however, we recommend completing all prenatal classes four to six weeks before your due date. Remember to register for classes early to ensure the classes you select are available.
Where are the classes held?
All classes are held at Swedish Medical Center in the second floor conference center. Swedish Medical Center is located at 501 E. Hampden Ave. in Englewood. Get directions>>
What are my payment options?
Pre-payment is required at the time of registration. Registrants may pay by Visa, American Express, Discover or MasterCard. If you are not able to pay by credit card, please call 303-788-6521 to make payment arrangements. You must make payment arrangements within 48 hours of registration, or your class(es) will be cancelled.
What if I need to cancel my registration?
Full or partial refunds are available for all classes. If you need to cancel your class registration, please call 1-866-7Swedish as soon as possible. For a refund, notification of your cancellation must be received at least five days prior to the start of your class. Refunds generally take four weeks for processing and mailing to your home.
What if Swedish needs to cancel a class?
If a class is cancelled due to lack of participation or inclement weather, we will do our best to notify you ahead of time. If you are unsure if the class will be cancelled due to weather, please call 303-788-6521.
Are discounts available?
HealthONE employees are eligible for a 50 percent discount on all education classes except Childbirth Express. Payment plans also are available on an individual basis. Please inquire about special situations by calling 303-788-6251.
A special offer is also available to all new families-if you take five prenatal classes, you will receive a $40 credit that can be applied to a postpartum class. Mention this offer when you are registering for your classes.
Will insurance cover the cost of the classes?
Some insurance companies will reimburse you for the cost of the prenatal classes. Simply save your class registration letter as proof of registration and payment. You are responsible for submitting the receipt to your insurance company.
