All About Baby

This one-time class specifically addresses those first uncertain weeks at home with your newborn. You will become familiar with characteristics of normal newborn behavior and appearance, feeding and sleeping cues and patterns, and needs. We will discuss what you do and do not need to buy, choosing a pediatrician, how to calm a crying baby and time management. Additionally, hands-on practice diapering, bathing and swaddling baby are included.

Baby Safe

This comprehensive, three-and-a-half-hour class helps prepare parents to keep baby safe. Important issues to be discussed include accident prevention (poison, fire, water, vehicle), how to baby proof your home, and how to recognize when baby is sick and when to call the doctor. Basic first aid and infant CPR/choking are taught and practiced (no certification is provided). Very basic car seat safety information is included. This is a class you cannot afford to miss!

Dunstan Baby Language

Featured on Oprah, the Dunstan Baby Language class is offered in one three-hour session. Designed to introduce parents to the unique language and sounds babies have, this innovative class actually helps you understand your baby’s language. The Dunstan system will teach you how to tune your ear to the fine baby “words.” Being able to correctly identify and address the needs of your baby will deepen the bond with your child and ease much of the pressure and stress that is felt by parents.

HUG Your Baby

Hug Your Baby is a one-time class designed to help parents understand, prevent and solve problems around a baby's eating, sleeping and crying and encourage parent-child attachment and bonding. This class offers a deeper understanding of techniques to enhance breastfeeding, provide adequate sleep for mom and baby, and increase parent's ability to calm their babies. It's a must for any parent or grandparent.
