Trauma Surgery Specialists On-Site 24 Hours a Day
A board-certified trauma surgeon is available 24 hours a day to be bedside upon a patient's arrival at Swedish. This attending physician, who is not a resident in training, determines and manages each patient's injuries—participating in daily rounds for follow-up.
The trauma team includes:
- Board-certified critical care trauma surgeons, available on-site 24 hours a day
- Trauma clinical nurse coordinators
- A second on-call trauma surgeon is readily available
- Specialty teams on-call
