Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery
Our dedicated Gynecological Surgery area offers the ideal setting for women. A team of physicians, anesthesiologists and nurses with extensive knowledge and expertise provide care for women requiring gynecologic surgery.
A personalized approach to patient care greatly enhances your physical healing and emotional recovery. With many years of education and experience in gynecology, our staff of experts understands the special nature of your care and recovery, and responds to your individual concerns. You will also be presented with information about what to expect as you begin your recovery in the hospital, to help plan for how you will manage when you return home.
Within the two weeks of your surgery, make an appointment in our Pre-Admit Clinic (303-788-6009), which is directly adjacent to Admissions off of the main lobby of the hospital. Having your preoperative testing done before you arrive for surgery helps minimize your anxiety and provides you with an additional opportunity to ask questions about what to expect during and following your surgery.
A Full Range of Care for Women
Backed by one of the region's finest acute-care hospitals, our program provides a full range of screening, diagnosis, preventative and treatment services specific to women's health. From interventional gynecological to health maintenance and education, women are offered a broad spectrum of programs.
The Gynecological Surgery area is unique because of its location within the hospital, as well as its design.
Patients reporting for outpatient procedures go directly to Gynecological Surgery (located on the 5th floor of the hospital), following an earlier visit to the Pre-Admit Clinic, and are sent home after the procedure.
Inpatients also report directly to Gynecological Surgery (on the 5th floor) and are admitted to the hospital following surgery. The design of the new Gynecological Surgery area was developed to allow an abundance of natural light for patients and space for doctors, which allows easy access to such state-of-the-art equipment as lasers and laparoscopy. In addition, pre- and postoperative care and recovery areas are dedicated to the GYN surgery patient.
