Orthopedic Care at Swedish Medical Center, Denver, Colorado

Total Joint Replacement, Intra-Articular Fractures, Musculoskeletal Injuries & Pelvic Trauma

At Swedish, our team of orthopedic surgeons specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of high-energy musculoskeletal injuries, fractures from multiple traumas, intra-articular fractures and complex pelvic and acetabular fractures. In addition, we are one of very few hospitals in the nation to maintain a team of orthopedic surgeons who are specialists in pelvic trauma.

Dedication to Orthopedic Patients

Swedish's 10th Floor is dedicated to caring for orthopedic patients, while the west wing of the 6th Floor caters to patients undergoing surgical spine procedures. This allows our nursing and care staff to specialize in caring for these patients, who often require complex pain management before and after surgery and support to be able to move/get out of bed the day following surgery.

Back to Yourself

By providing personal attention to patients' needs, the goal of the orthopedic team is to return patients back to their pre-injury level of functioning. The physicians who make up this team are veterans in the field and are well-versed in serious orthopedic trauma that includes:

  • High-energy musculoskeletal injuries
  • Fractures in polytrauma patients
  • Intra-articular fractures
  • Complex pelvic and acetabular fractures

Swedish also offers an array of orthopedic procedures for total joint replacement, knee surgery, hip surgery and shoulder surgery.

Available for consultation 24 hours per day, our orthopedic surgeons are diligent in addressing the various dimensions of patient care.

The Latest, Minimally Invasive Treatments

Minimally invasive surgeries are also a possibility for many joint or spine patients. Shoulder and ankle surgeries are also common.
