Food and Nutrition Services

Food and Nutrition Services at Swedish Medical Center is provided in partnership with Sodexho Health Care Services. Within Food and Nutrition Services, there are three daily support services:

  • Patient dining through Room Service
  • Visitor and staff dining in the Café
  • Clinical Nutrition, staffed by our Registered Dietitians

The Food and Nutrition Services team believes that "Patients are at the heart of everything we do." As such, our patient meal program is titled "At Your Request" Room Service Dining. This form of meal placement and delivery allows patients to order and receive meals at any time they choose.

Swedish Medical Center provides leading-edge care for patients with many different conditions and diet requirements. Whether the patient requires a diet low in fat or a diet with modified textures, the Food and Nutrition Services team is working constantly to make these modifications as easy as possible for every patient. Our Room Service operators are trained in the specific diets we follow and any nutritional information that pertains to the related disease state. The most common conditions we treat through nutrition include diabetes, renal disease, stroke, cancer and heart disease. We will accommodate any request as long as it is allowed within the patient's diet restrictions.
